Database Design and DevelopmentDatabase design and development are some of our core competences. We can design and develop your database from scratch or we can modify and tune up your existing one to meet your evolving business requirements. We work to the best industry standards so that our clients can have robust, reliable and user-friendly databases that preserve the consistency, integrity and security of their data. We work with the following relational database management systems: Microsoft Access, SQL Server and mySQL. New databaseWe will take care of the full cycle of the development process from specification, design and development, to testing and deployment, whilst ensuring the final product not only meets your business needs but is also delivered within the agreed budget and timescale. Throughout the whole process we will be taking into account your input and any considerations you might have as well as keeping you updated on the progress. Depending on the size of the project, major milestones can be identified in advance and prototypes delivered accordingly for your evaluation. Existing databaseWe will arrange to see you at a time convenient for you and discuss the problems and/or limitations you experience with your existing database. We will identify the modifications and/or enhancements that are required, make recommendations and upon your approval implement the changes. Regardless of whether you need to just add some functionality, fix a problem, upgrade a database to a different version, migrate it to a different database system (e.g. from Access to SQL Server) or have it redesigned from scratch, we will do this for you with minimal disruption to your business whilst ensuring the integrity of your existing data is preserved. Web-enabled database Many businesses find it beneficial to have their databases available
on or linked to the Internet. The benefits arise from increased sales
revenue, product promotion and marketing, stronger customer satisfaction
and relationship, increased collaboration and productivity, streamlining
of business processes. In some cases a database can have a web-enabled
front that allows interaction, e.g. browsing or searching for products
or information, entering data, etc, while in other cases a database can
be linked to the web without having a front end in order to enable businesses
to track and analyse personal preferences or browsing habits of the site
visitors on the one hand, and to allow the site visitor to personalise
and customise the web content they wish to browse on the other. |
